About the App
Sutru MVP was created for the Olsztyn Science and Technology Park within the EU budget.
The application helps control the expiration dates of food products. It facilitates everyday shopping thanks to the optimization of shopping lists, inventory monitoring, proposing recipes based on owned products, and the ability to scan and manually add articles.
This allows for effective management of home supplies, saving time and money, as well as reducing food waste, which has a positive impact on the environment.
Business Consulting
As part of business consulting, we supported the client in preparing and submitting an application for co-financing the Sutru project from the EU budget. Then, during workshops, we jointly developed the MVP scope, covering key design challenges:
- Integration of various data entry methods (product scanning and manual addition).
- Synchronization and ongoing update of stock levels.
- Proposing recipes based on the user’s current supplies.
- Optimization of user experience (UX) so that the application is intuitive and accessible to a wide audience.
- Ensuring security and protection of user data.
- Educating users on reducing food waste.
The MVP scope defined in this way allowed us to focus on the most important functionalities that respond to the real needs of users and increase the chances of the project’s success.
Achieved Results
- An application was created that allows controlling the expiration dates of food products, which allows users to effectively manage home supplies.
- Users can optimize daily shopping thanks to the automatic generation of shopping lists based on current supplies.
- Functions for monitoring supplies, proposing recipes based on owned products, and integrating data entry methods (scanning and manually adding articles) were implemented.
- The application allows saving time and money and realistically reduces food waste, which has a positive impact on the environment.
- An intuitive user interface, data security, and educational elements regarding zero waste were taken care of.
